Floor Tie-Downs

  • Floor tie-downs are important in keeping your equipment from rolling around inside the trailer
  • Standard equipment includes:
    • interior side floor ties
    • steel tie rail (to provide extreme flexibility to secure your equipment

Depending on the heaviness of the load being hauled, we offer two different options:

  • 5000 lb floor tie-down – Used for lighter objects of transportations Ex. sand cars, quads, motorcycles
  • 6000 lb floor tie-down – Used for heavier objects of transportation Ex. automobile, heavy duty trucks

The D-ring configuration allows for efficient use, making it easy to lift for use. When not being utilized, it can be folded down to allow for a smooth surface or walking on or moving equipment.

Rail tie bars are mainly used for lightweight recreation vehicles. Examples: quads, motorcycles

Side floor ties are placed all around the perimeter of the trailer; can be placed where customer requests to be most convenient for your use.

Wheel Options

Trailer wheels come in a variety of sizes and can be custom selected to your hauling and equipment hauling needs. They range from 14” to 16”. Putting the right combination of axles and wheels together for your long term needs is a key decision. Once we address your needs and usage for your trailer, we can help determine which wheels and axle combination will be more sufficient for your usage. Next are a few options and combinations:

Side Door Options

To maximize your flexibility, you may want to consider adding an optional side door. Left side door can make it easy to get in and out. For example, if the item you are transporting is wide, a side door will make it easier and more efficient for a person to maneuver in and out of the trailer.

We offer various sizes of doors. A large side door can add various ways to transport items in and out of the trailer. For instance, removing a motorcycle towards the front of the trailer without removing the rear contents in the trailer.

C-style tongue jack many customers prefer this 12V electric jack screw down hitch on a 2 5/16” ball used on heavier trailers.

Brake Options

Electric Brakes

Electric brakes come standard on all axles of our trailers (California state law).

  • Hydraulic brakes are optional
  • Your choice of 3500 lbs or 5200 lb rated axles are available for most size trailer boxes.
  • Standard equipment includes straight axles, keeping the trailer higher to reduce tail drag in and out of driveways.
  • Compared to drop axles used on other brands, this is a much better design.
  • If you want even more ground clearance we offer an optional 4” lift, raising the whole trailer and putting the hitch height at 21”.
  • This matches up nicely with higher hitches on late model motorhomes.

Hydraulic Brakes

Hydraulic brakes are optional for most applications.

  • The picture above shows the master cylinder on the tongue.
  • This setup is hand when multiple vehicles need to haul the trailer without an electric brake controller and still be legal on the road.
  • If you are lending your trailer out often, this may be worth investing in.

Lift Kits

  • Lift kits provide for even more ground clearance. A popular option is a 4’ lift which accommodates hitch heights of 22” (top of ball) found on newer motorhomes to alleviate the use of drop hitches.
  • This helps reduce hitch drag and increases the door-ramp angel when folded down. Most desert toys have no problem with it.

The modified exterior fender with the 4” lift option. When we raise the frame “ we reposition the fender to maintain the same “tire-fender” clearances, which positions the fender lower on the trailer box.

Our 4” lift provides more room inside with lower fenders that stick up only 4” from the floor versus the standard 8” high interior fenders.

Amenities

  • A popular set up for an active family is to move the kids out to the trailer. This provides adults with more room in the RV/motorhome and kids with more space to be kids!

  • If this sounds like your family, you make want to consider some conveniences such as a toilet, shower, sink, or stove. These can be installed in the front of the trailer, while leaving the back of the trailer for hauling desert toys.
